Charles R. Gilliland

Criminal Defense Attorney

Mr. Gilliland was born and raised in the Los Angeles area before moving to San Diego in 1981 to attend college at the University of California, San Diego. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in History (minoring in Political Science), Mr. Gilliland attended the University of San Diego School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate Degree. Mr. Gilliland was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1991 and has been practicing criminal defense exclusively ever since. His practice is based in San Diego but Mr. Gilliland has handled numerous cases in other California counties as well.

Types of Cases:

Mr. Gilliland handles all types of criminal cases, misdemeanor and felony. He handles many driving under the influence cases (DUI) but also handles theft, assault/battery, drug, domestic violence, three strikes, and many other less common criminal cases including post conviction relief matters such as probation modifications and expungements.
